1. Old Fashioned

This one is my husband’s favorite. To make this cocktail, you need whiskey or bourbon, sugar, and bitters. We like to add an orange slice to garnish plus it gives it some extra flavor.

  • 1 tsp. Sugar (fine)
  • 2 to 3 dashes of Bitters
  • 2 oz. Bourbon or Whiskey (Rye)
  • Orange Slice

All you have to do to make it is add the ingredients together in a glass or cup, add ice, and stir. Picking a Bourbon or Whiskey for your Old Fashioned is going to be based on personal preference. We personally like Bulleit Bourbon.

2. Painkiller

A good painkiller is similar to a Pina Colada but we think it tastes better. This cocktail has aged rum, cream of coconut, and orange. One small tip for this drink, make sure you get cream of coconut because it’s sweet. If you get coconut cream it will be thick and not sweet.

  • 2.5 oz Aged Rum or Golden Rum
  • 4 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1 oz Cream of Coconut (NOT coconut cream!)
  • 1 oz Orange Juice

To make this drink, mix all the ingredients together with ice and shake.

3. Hot Toddy

This drink would be great for those cool camping evenings by the fire. It’s a super easy drink to make too. All you need is hot water, whiskey, honey, and lemon. We love to sip on this one slow and enjoy the fire.

  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1.5 to 2 oz Whiskey
  • 2 to 3 tea Honey
  • 2 to 3 tea Lemon Juice

All you need to do is heat your water. You can use a kettle over the fire if you would like. Then pour into your camping mug and add the ingredients, then stir.

4. Buttery Finger

This is a deliciously creamy and buttery drink that we know you will enjoy. It’s easy to make and doesn’t require a lot of effort.

  • 1/4 oz Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1/4 oz Butterscotch Schnapps
  • 1/4 oz Kahlua
  • 1/4 oz Vodka (try vanilla flavored)

To make it, you just combine with ice and shake (in a shaker) then pour and enjoy!

5. Strawberry Wine Punch

This is a great cocktail that you can make ahead. It’s really easy and delicious. You will need frozen juice, a bottle of white wine, and sprite. If you love a strawberry daiquiri, we are sure you will love this also.

  • 1 bottle of White Wine (Moscato is our pick)
  • 1 can Frozen Juice
  • 1/2 liter of Sprite

To make this cocktail, you thaw the juice until it’s a slushie then stir in the wine and sprite. If you wanted to make it ahead, you could pour it into a recycled 2-liter bottle and put it in the cooler before your camping trip.

6. Pineapple Bourbon Lemonade

This is a super simple, 3 ingredient drink that will brighten up your next camping trip. It’s refreshing for those warmer camping trips, especially the ones to the lake. If you love bourbon and pineapple juice why not give this one a try.

  • 4 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice

All you need to do for this one is combine in a shaker and shake, pour over ice and enjoy!! How much better can it get?

7. Sangria

This drink can be made ahead of time and taken in the cooler. It’s easy and delicious. It has fruit, wine, and vodka plus it is so tasty! It’s actually recommended to make ahead of time because the longer it sits, the better it tastes.

  • 3 cups of Fresh Fruit
  • 1/4 cup Vodka
  • 2 to 3 cups of Moscato Wine
  • 2 cups Club Soda
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice

Mix all the ingredients together and let it chill overnight. You can take the mix in a large container or put it into mason jars for single servings while you are camping. If you use mason jars, make sure your fruit is evenly distributed between all the jars.

8. Redneck Margaritas

This is a crowd favorite! At first, most people realize the ingredients and question my sanity but after they taste it, they love it. All you need for this tasty cocktail is Corona Beer, Frozen limeade, Tequila, and Sprite.

  • 12 oz Frozen Limeade
  • 8 oz Sprite
  • 1 Bottle of Corona Beer
  • 12 oz Tequila (I used 6 oz because 12 is a lot!)

To make it, mix everything together and pour over ice. Then enjoy! Trust me…its delicious!

9. Screwdriver

This simple classic is an easy camping drink to make. All you need is orange juice and vodka! Did you know that back in the day, American oil workers added vodka to their OJ and stirred it with a screwdriver while they were working, that’s where it got its name from!

  • 1.5 oz Vodka
  • Orange Juice to Fill Glass

For this drink, you can make it strong or light. It all depends on the size of glass you choose.

10. Sunburn

This fun little drink I found from Hey Wanderer Blog. For this one, you need coconut vodka, margarita mix, and cranberry juice.

  • Equal Parts: Coconut Vodka, Margarita Mix, and Cranberry Juice

Pour the equal parts of each ingredient into a glass over ice and enjoy!

11. Cuba Libre (Rum and Coke + Lime)

This drink is a little spin on a basic rum and coke. You just need a lime for this one.

  • 4 oz Coke
  • 2 oz Rum
  • 1/2 of a Lime (cut into quarters)

To make this, you will want to squeeze the lime into the glass, then drop one of the lime quarters in, add ice, pour rum, and gently add coke.

We hope you found a drink you can enjoy (responsibly) on your next camping trip. If you need something to go along with it, check out our campfire nacho recipe!
