If you are looking for a delicious and easy camping breakfast burrito, we have one for you. We think that breakfast is the most important meal at the campsite. (We cook some pretty big breakfast meals when we are camping).

Before we dive into the recipe, let’s understand why breakfast burritos are a great choice for campers. They are easy to make and can be customized to suit your dietary needs. This makes them the ideal breakfast option for a day of hiking, fishing, or lounging by the campfire.
Ingredients
- Flour Tortilla
- Eggs
- Cheese (we use queso blanco)
- Sausage or Bacon (or both)
- Veggies (if you choose, we don’t…we keep it simple)
- Any possible seasonings
Optional Ingredients
- Veggies (mushrooms, onions, bell peppers)
- Avacado
- Green Chilies
What You Will Need
- Cast Iron Skillet (for cooking over a campfire)
- Griddle (if you don’t want to cook over a campfire)
- Foil
- Spatula
- Cutting Board and Knife (not necessary, but useful)
To make your breakfast burritos, you will want to make sure your campfire has some good coals, or if you choose to use a griddle, go ahead and heat it up. We use a griddle because it’s easier (and we like it).
If you are cooking veggies, you can do this first. We would suggest some onion and bell peppers to give it the perfect mexican inspired touch. When the veggies are finished cooking, set them in a bowl to the side.
Next, cook your bacon or sausage (or both). When the bacon is cooked and you brown the sausage all the way through, set them aside.
Now, you can grab your eggs and whisk them together until they are smooth. Next, you will want to scramble them. We use a cooking spray on our griddle to keep the eggs from sticking as bad.
Tip: Scrambling the eggs for a breakfast burrito is the best option.
Once they are cooked, we take a bowl and mix all the ingredients together. This will include the queso cheese we like adding to our burritos.
After it’s all mixed together, assemble your burritos. We will spray the griddle with cooking spray and brown both sides of the burrito.
Now, it’s time to eat!

Instructions
- Cook your sausage and/or bacon until done
- Whisk and scramble eggs
- Mix sausage, eggs, seasoning and cheese in a bowl
